Fortunately or unfortunately in the 12 years that we have been creating websites, we have used about all of the major hosting providers (Godaddy, Blue Host, Host Gator, WP Engine, etc.). This includes shared hosting, but also private hosting. For the past year and a half, I have been thrilled with SiteGround. Their customer service, uptime, price and loading speed have all been top notch.
The two biggest frustration points for me were waiting in queues upwards of 30 minutes for customer service help (a la Blue Host) or having to call multiple times to find the right rep who can actually fix my problem (a la GoDaddy). With SiteGround they respond to chat within seconds even if there is a big queue and I get help the first time. It’s really great.
